Puri Jagannadh, attracted the mass audience just with the introduction of Mahesh Babu as Pandu in the film. A chase is followed by a fight and then an introduction song. What else could the audience want from a commercial movie? Puri Jagannadh and Mahesh Babu scored the marks with the introduction of the film itself. The one-liner “Okkasari commit aithe naa maata nene vinanu” is still a favourite for many people today. Another one-liner, “Yevadu kodithe dhimma tirigi mind block ayipoddho, vaade pandu gadu” has a separate fan base even today. Mahesh Babu’s attitude in delivering these one-liners is just stunning.
The beggar episode between Brahmanandam and Ali is one of the best comedy scenes in Telugu cinema even today. Puri just scored full marks in the entertainment aspect with this beggars’ sequence.
Ileana looks extremely hot and very glamorous in the film. Her on-screen chemistry with Mahesh Babu is the best of those times.

Nassar’s performance in this scene is very intense.
