The film was released in the highest number of countries for any Indian film. The film was released in India, US, Europe, Canada, Australia, Middle East, Singapore, Malaysia and Sri Lanka. The film ran in 70 theatres and 700 shows in Sri Lanka alone.
The film was released in the highest number of theatres in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu in 2007, 340 theatres in AP and 300 theatres in Tamil Nadu. The film ran in many theatres for more than 175 days successfully.

The best technicians of the Indian film industry worked together for this film. Shankar is the writer and director. AR Rahman composed the music. KV Anand is the cinematographer and Anthony is the editor. Thotta Tharani is the art director. India’s best production house of those times, AVM Productions produced the film. The film was made with a budget of 60 crores and collected more than 150 crores in return.
