Chandramukhi is Rajinikanth’s most successful horror comedy film. The film was released in 2005 and it is still a favourite for many today in both the Telugu states and Tamil Nadu. The writer and director of the film, P Vasu showed his magic in delivering the best thrills in the film without letting the star image of Rajini down. The balance was so perfect and it made the film a blockbuster. A sequel for Chandramukhi was made in Telugu in 2010. The sequel was titled Nagavalli and it was directed by P Vasu again. But the story of Nagavalli did not have much connection with that of Chandramukhi and so it was not pinned as a perfect sequel. The fans of Chandramukhi movie are waiting all these years for a solid sequel and finally the news comes out from the compound of the makers officially. Yes, Chandramukhi 2 is officially announced.
P Vasu, the director of Chandramukhi joined hands with the top production house of Kollywood, Lyca Productions for making Chandramukhi 2. The lead actor Rajinikanth is replaced with Raghava Lawrence, who made some good horror content in the recent past. Lawrence got the blessings from his Guru, Rajinikanth for getting on board for the film as the lead actor. Both Lyca Productions and Raghava Lawrence officially announced the project today.

Vadivelu, Kollywood’s senior comedian who provided limitless laughs in the first part is on board for the sequel too. However, other than Lawrence and Vadivelu, no other actor or actress is officially announced. MM Keeravani is going to compose the music for the film. Rajasekhar is the cinematographer and Thotta Tharani is the art director, as per the announcement made so far by the makers officially.
