Director Rajamouli’s RRR: Roudram Ranam Rudhiram is undoubtedly one of the most awaited Pan-Indian movies, which is to hit theatres on March 25th. In one of the recent promotional videos of the film, director S.S. Rajamouli along with Ram Charan and Jr NTR had a heartful chat. On this occasion, MegaPowerstar Ram Charan explained what Rajamouli is for him, in his life.
Ram Charan admitted that there was a time when he got irked by Rajamouli’s behaviour but at the end of the day Jakkanna is his mentor and guru. Above all he is more than his father Chiranjeevi in a way, because it is Rajamouli, who made him learn the alphabets of the film industry about the movies, not his father.
In Cherry’s own words, “Tarak and I come from a film background. This is my second film with Rajamouli, after Magadheera. My father Chiranjeevi brought us up in such a way that anything related to movies was a strict no-no to enter the house. He literally had not given any instruction or guidance even at the time of my debut film, with an intention to let me travel and face it on my own. I have learnt everything about the film industry from Rajamouli garu only. I repeatedly say that he is my head master, my dean, because I learnt so much from him since my first movie. He is not only a director but a master storyteller at the same time. He is my mentor, my guru, he taught me what cinema is today. I gained more knowledge from him than my dad.”
Coming to RRR, it is a period drama set in the pre-Independence era bankrolled by DVV Danayya on a huge scale. RRR makers promise to deliver a visual grandeur, about Indian revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju (Ram Charan) and Komaram Bheem (Jr NTR). The multilingual flick is gearing up for its grand release globally in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.
