Noted Tamil filmmaker Mari Selvaraj and actor-politician Udhayanidhi Stalin associated for a new film titled Maamannan (uncle). The upcoming movie is being produced under Udhayanidhi owned Red Giant Movies banner.
The movie makers announced the star cast including National Award-winning actress Keerthy Suresh as the female lead, Malayalam star Fahadh Faasil for a key role while Vaigai Puyal Vadivelu will be appearing in a supporting role. They also revealed that the music composer of Maamannan will be none other than Oscar Award-winning composer A R Rahman.
In this connection, Keerthy took to social media to express her gratitude and shared her gaiety by writing, “I am super grateful to work with such a brilliant team, starting from the revolutionary @mariselvaraj84 sir, Namma @udhay_stalin sir, Nammude #FahadhFaasil , the one & only #VaigaiPuyal #Vadivelu sir, blessed to be working with the legendary #IsaiPuyal @arrahman sir once again 🙏🏻”

Mari Selvraraj directed his first film, Pariyerum Perumal in 2018, for which he received critical acclaim and accolades as one of the successful films of the year. His second film, Karnan starring Dhanush opened to a rousing reception from the masses and critics.
Now, the team-up of such big names for Maamannan inculcated plenty of excitement and the concerned posters of the movie went super viral. Movie lovers and fans are expecting Maamannan to be another message oriented and nail biting thriller from Kollywood’s young director Mari Selvaraj.
On the work front, the Mahanati actress showed up her dancing skills in the recently released music video Gandhari. Fans and celebs fell for her charm and flooded the post with best regards. Keerthy Suresh is the female lead alongside Superstar Mahesh Babu in the political comedy Sarkaru Vaari Paata.
