Mammootty and Mohanlal are the two veteran actors from Malayalam cinema. They are beloved by Malayalam cinema fans and are revered as two of the finest actors to work in Mollywood. These two share a very close relationship and are real life friends and consider each other as brothers.
Mammootty made his film debut with the 1971 movie Anubhavangal Paalichakal, 50 years ago. Mammootty acted in over 400 films in his career span. Mohanlal has worked in over 340 films. These two actors shared the screen space for 55 films. Mohanlal penned a heartfelt note as Mammootty completes 50 years in the film industry. He shared a picture of them together and wrote “Today, my brother completes 50 glorious years in the film industry. On the work front, Mohanlal is currently awaiting the release of Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea. The epic historical war film also has an ensemble cast of Arjun Sarja, Suniel Shetty, Prabhu, Manju Warrier, Keerthy Suresh, Mukesh, Siddique, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Pranav Mohanlal and Nedumudi Venu. Meanwhile, Mammootty is filming for his action drama Bheeshmaparvam.
