Remakes are a popular phenomenon in Indian cinema. Given that there is a film industry for each language, makers prefer to remake a movie in their language to reach the native audiences over dubbing the original.
South movies have been remade several times in Bollywood. The latest movie which is also being remade in Hindi is the police thriller HIT: The First Case (2020.) This movie starred Vishwak Sen and Ruhani Sharma in the lead roles and went on to become a super successful venture. Owing to the movie’s phenomenal success, Dil Raju is remaking the movie in Hindi with one of the finest actors of Bollywood, Rajkummar Rao. In the latest update, makers announced that the young and talented actress Sanya Malhotra is now a part of the movie. Check out the official announcement below:

While the original was directed by Sailesh Kolanu and jointly produced by actor Nani and Prashanti Tipirneni, the Hindi version will also be directed by Sailesh Kolanu and will be produced under the Dil Raju Productions banner. The remake will have music composed by Manan Bharadwaj. Dil Raju is also remaking Allari Naresh’s crime courtroom drama Naandhi (2021) in Hindi. This remake stars Ajay Devgn in the lead role.
