Nagarjuna will be seen next in an upcoming Telugu movie titled Wild Dog, directed by Ashishor Solomon. Wild Dog is a detective action drama and Nagarjuna plays the role of a cop for the National Intelligence Agency. Dia Mirza is playing the leading lady of the film. Wild Dog also features Ali Reza , Saiyami Kher, Mayank Parakh, Pradeep, Prakash Sudarshan and Atul Kulkarini as the field agents, in supporting roles. The recently released trailer for Wild Dog was praised by netizens for Nagarjuna’s action as well as the adrenaline pumping action sequences.
Director Ashish Solomon spoke about Wild Dog in an interview with a popular news daily. Solomon said the movie is based on the values of patriotism and it has been his dream to make a movie about the National Investigation Agency (NIA) officers. Solomon said, “While I was reading books on how the NIA (specially formed to counter terror attacks) investigated the bomb blasts, I saw the effort and sacrifices that the personnel made. The undercover operations gave me goosebumps. I could see the spirit of patriotism in them, and that inspired patriotism in me and motivated me to pen the story (sic.)”

Moreover. Solomon goes on to say Wild Dog will not have any songs or musical tracks. Solomon says, “There are no songs in the film, but Nag sir wasn’t surprised about that. He is someone who loves to experiment with films. Initially I was a bit apprehensive about how he would react to a film without songs, but he was fully convinced with the script (sic.)”
Wild Dog is bankrolled by S. Niranjan Reddy and K. Anvesh Reddy under the banner of Matinee Entertainments. Wild Dog is slated to release on April 2nd, 2021.
