Rana Daggubati established himself as a pan Indian actor, appearing in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi films and not type casting himself to a single role. The versatile actor took up the task of portraying different kinds of characters in the past, like essaying the role of an antagonist, supporting roles and as a lead actor. Rana Daggubati will appear as Bandev in the upcoming film Aranya, directed by Prabu Solomon. Today on the occasion of World Wildlife Day, the trailer is released considering the movie is all about saving a herd of wild elephants.
The trailer for the long awaited Aranya was released on all major social media platforms today. The trailer begins with an aerial shot of a lush green and a thick jungle canopy which then pans into a herd of elephants. Bandev walks among the elephants and looks to be a part of the herd. As the trailer progresses, things take a turn for the worse when a corporate entity walls off a section of the forest which is used by the elephant herd to graze. The move by the corporate entity enrages the elephants, tribals, naxals and Bandev. How the multiple communities who depend on the jungle come together to overthrow the corporate entity in a battle for good and save the elephants forms the story of Aranya.
Aranya – Rana Daggubati Becomes Protector Of Forests
The movie is produced and distributed by Eros International. Aranya, in Telugu, will be released in Tamil as Kaadan and Haathi Mere Saathi, in Hindi. The movie is a tribute of sorts to the late legendary Bollywood actor Rajesh Khanna, who also acted in a movie titled Haathi Mere Saathi (1971.) However, director Prabu Solomon said the upcoming movie will have a completely different and fresh storyline.

Shriya Pilgaonkar, Zoya Hussain, Vishnu Vishal and Raghu Babu will appear in supporting roles. The music for Aranya is composed by Shantanu Moitra and the lyrics for the Telugu version are written by Vanamaali. Aranya is slated for release on March 26th, 2021.
