Ritu Varma who amazed the Telugu audience with her performance as a girl next door in blockbuster films like Pelli Choopulu and Kannulu Kannulu Dochayante, will be seen in the role of a village girl in the upcoming Nani starrer Tuck Jagadish. Recently, the teaser of Tuck Jagadish was released and it is being lauded by the audience and filmy pundits as one of the best teasers. As Tuck Jagadish is creating a fair hype, Ritu Varma opened up about her role and working experience with co star Nani.
Opening up about the film’s background and role, Ritu Varma said, “The entire film is set in a village, so I will also be seen in half sarees for the first time too. Having been born and raised in Hyderabad I have never been to villages. But for this role, we shot in real village locations at Rajahmundry and Pollachi. It was a great learning experience (sic.)”
Ritu Varma will be seen in the role of Village Administrative Officer (VAO.) Speaking about how she prepared for the role, Ritu said, “To play the part of a VRO, I did research to make the role look authentic. I have watched videos of VROs, and tried to emulate their style of talking and body language. I also spoke to a few of them (sic.)”
Shiva Nirvana is directing Tuck Jagadish and it is the second time the latter is teaming up with Nani after the superhit Ninu Kori. Aishwarya Rajesh is the second leading lady. Jagapathi Babu, Rao Ramesh, Nasser and other actors will be seen in key roles. Music sensation S.S. Thaman is composing the music while Prasad Murella is the cinematographer. The film is produced by Sahu Garapati and Harish Peddi under the Shine Screens Banner. Tuck Jagadish was slated to be released in mid 2020, but due to COVID-19 lockdown restrictions, it is now rescheduled to release on April 16th, 2021.
