The digital world is the new theatre in today’s world. Theatres and OTT platforms run hand in hand in today’s uncertain pandemic times. With theatres being shut all across the country during the COVID-19 lockdown, filmmakers, producers and actors opened the floodgates of the OTT. As OTT gives the freedom to explore, South cinema is also making steady progress in the OTT world.
Recently, Naga Chaitanya opened up if he would be insecure to come in a 15 minute content on OTT, YouTube or any other platform. The actor said “I always wanted to try different things, there are so many things in my mind that I want to express but I’m always scared on screen because we are so used to of this format and there are so many permutations and combinations to it, will it work out or not work out. But you know there is so much more creative freedom when you don’t have those rules and that’s what you are doing right now. So, I’m definitely curious and want to attempt that too and somewhere we need to start balancing it out (sic.)”
