Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday will be teaming up for an upcoming pan Indian film, titled Liger. Touted to be a sports drama based on boxing, Liger is directed by Puri Jagannadh. Liger is one of those awaited films as the first look garnered a mad response from the audience. Currently, Liger is trending on social media and one of the reasons is a happy team picture.
The team of Liger including Director Puri Jagannadh, producer Charmee Kaur, leading lady Ananya Panday along with her parents Chunky Panday and Bhavna Panday spent some quality time in Mumbai. Charmee Kaur shared a picture of them posing in all smiles and it is currently going viral on social media. The team has gathered in Mumbai to kick start a new shooting schedule.

Before the pre COVID phase in early 2020, the team of Liger shot for major portions in Mumbai but in March the shoot was stalled due to the Coronavirus outbreak. After a long break, the team of Liger will be resuming the shoot in Mumbai and an official announcement will be made in a few days.
Liger will mark the debut of Vijay Deverakonda in Bollywood and will feature him playing the role of a mixed martial artist. Ananya Panday will also mark her debut in all the South industries. Liger also features Ramya Krishnan, Ronit Roy, Vishu Reddy, Aali, Makarand Desh Pandey and Getup Srinu in key roles. The movie is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Puri Connects, a production house owned by Puri Jagannath and Charmme Kaur. Liger will be released in five languages – Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. The much anticipated Liger would be released on September 9, 2021.
