Anushka Shetty is one of the popular actresses and is often considered as the ‘Lady Superstar’ of the South. The South beauty is one such actress who can carry the entire film on her shoulders and extract massive footfalls into the theatre without depending on a bankable male lead. With the Baahubali franchise, Anushka attained worldwide acclaim and garnered pan Indian following for her performance as Devasena.
Despite having a massive fan following, Anushka Shetty isn’t an active social media user. She only uses her social media handles on special occasions such as festivals and film promotions, and often keeps her personal posts very limited.
Speaking to a leading daily about why she is not a social media user in today’s world, Anushka says, “Basically, I am a shy person who takes time to mingle with new people. However, when I enter the film sets, I forget about everything and gel with everyone. Besides films and family, I don’t know any other world and due to my hectic schedule, I can’t find time for social media. Though fans have been requesting to join Twitter, I am unable to cater time to it. Frankly, I don’t have much understanding of social media; however, if there is something I wish to share with all my fans, I will definitely join the micro-blogging site and be in regular touch with them (sic.)”
