After Baahubali, Prabhas is back with another mythological drama titled Adipurush. When the motion poster was released, many speculated that he would play the role of Lord Ram. Seems like all the speculations are true as the director confirmed about Prabhas’ role and said he is indeed playing Lord Ram in the film.
In a recent interview, S.S. Rajamouli spoke about the Prabhas starrer Adipurush and said, “I saw the first look of the film long ago and I believe Prabhas fits the role of Lord Ram perfectly. There is no better time for him to portray this character. Weeks ago we saw the entire country reverberate with Lord Ram’s chant during the Bhumi Puja in Ayodhya. I think the country will enjoy seeing Prabhas playing the role. I have heard about the film and I think it’s going to be great (sic.)”
According to the latest reports about Adipurush, it is said Keerthy Suresh will be the leading lady in the role of Sita. Whereas, Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan will play the antagonist role.

Adipurush will be directed by Om Raut and will be his second directorial venture after the period drama Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. Adipurush will be shot in Hindi and Telugu while being dubbed in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and several international languages. The film is expected to go on to the floors in 2021, will eye a 2022 release and will be made in 3D.
