The director also first decided Nishabham to be totally a silent film but changed later and added dialogue. He told us the behind story about it. “I narrated the story to producer Prasad V. Potluri and the star cast was different from what it is now. Then, suddenly I met Kona Venkat sir and narrated the story, to which Kona sir told the story is superb but think about it in the larger span and work on the script as an international backdrop for the film. With the help of writer Gopi Mohan, we sat and penned down the script with US adaption.” the director said.
The director also revealed that Anushka Shetty was not his first preference but Tapasee Pannu. “At first I thought of Tapasee and Madhavan for this film. But one day Kona Sir called me and recommended Anushka Shetty for the role. I was shocked and asked him if she heard the story, then Kona sir told me that she likes the story, so we have to go and meet her. Later, we met her and confirmed everything. Yet the film was totally silent based with no dialogues but as the producer’s point of view it has to be viable so yet again we made changes in the script and made it a dialogue film. After the script got ready, we went to the USA for shooting and now completed it,” Hemanth Madhukar said signing off.
Nishabdham stars Anushka as a mute artist and Madhavan as a musician in the lead roles while Hollywood’s Michael Madsen, Anjali, Subbaraju, Shalini Pandey and Srinivas Avasarala will appear in supporting roles.
