Director Puri Jagannadh is one of the most dynamic directors in the south film industry. The director marked 20 years of filmmaking in the industry. In the last few decades, he has directed 37 films and most of them are huge hits. The director started off his career by working as an assistant director to Ram Gopal Varma for several films and made his debut as a director in 2000 by blockbuster film ‘Badri’ starring Pawan Kalyan, Renu Desai and Ameesha Patel.
Since then, there has been no stopping for Puri. The ace filmmaker has given many blockbuster entertaining hits to the Telugu audience like ‘Idiot’, ‘Pokiri’, ‘Desamuduru’, and ‘Shivamani’ were some of his blockbusters. He is known for new body language and powerful dialogues to the stars. His last release Ismart Shankar starring Ram Pothineni, Nabha Natesh and Nidhhi Agerwal has been a huge blockbuster too.
20 years, today his debut film Badri released and today marks his two decades as a director. Bollywood director and producer Karan Johar, who is backing up the Hindi version of his film, Fighter also wished. Karan shared a pic of Puri and wrote, “Congratulations Puri Sir! Tremendous love and respect for your blockbuster journey!”

On the work front, Puri Jagannadh is currently directing and producing Fighter along with Charmee Kaur. Vijay Deverakonda and Bollywood diva Ananya Panday will be the main leads of the film. Being the Pan India film, Bollywood producer Karan Johar is bankrolling the Hindi version of this film under Dharma productions.
