India is a country where many stories of rags to riches attain legendary status. The country has its own share of geniuses who inspire the commoners to dream big and realise their dreams into reality.

He does not stop form it but taught impoverished students for this IIT JEE exam, who made it into Indian Institute of Technology campuses, only with the support of Anand Kumar ( courtesy, his Super 30 coaching centre.) The Vikas Bahl directorial traces the journey of this extraordinary genius and his path to greatness.
Cast: Hrithik Roshan, Mrunal Thakur, Aditya Srivastava, Pankaj Tripathi, Virendra Saxena

Anand Kumar ( Hrithik Roshan, in an image makeover) is a brilliant maths enthusiast and student, who works on number theory and gets selected to the Cambridge University, on submitting his thesis on number theory. But, his financial resources do not support his efforts. Hence, he moves back to Varanasi to continue his research in his subject, as his brother has a hostel room there, to support him.
Slowly, Anand works on the examination syllabus of Indian Institute Of Technology (IIT) syllabus and cracks the toughest of problem solving exams. He notices many studious and brilliant children in Bihar, who cannot afford this education but can crack the exam if given the required training. Anand slowly starts a training program named as Super 30, with an initial batch of 30 students, whom he teaches free of cost. His centre in Patna develops into an enviable organization as opposed to the money squeezing coaching centres in cities
for brilliant students who crack the IIT exams in large numbers every year.
How did this victory made possible? How did a single individual start a centre for learning, without any profit or any investment? The movie tells the tale of the indomitable spirit of the human mind.
This movie is a one man show. Hrithik Roshan steals the show with a sincere portrayal of a Bihari man, who sells Papads in the day and works for his research in the nights. Virendra Saxena as the supporting father of Anand is outstanding, among the supporting cast. The next best in the movie happens to be Mrinal Thakur, who plays Anand’s love interest, Ritu Rashmi. Pankaj Tripathi plays a wily politician who acts as a hindrance to Anand’s Super 30 program. The movie’s pace is a problem, with a staid screenplay.
But, the movie is worth a watch to know about one of India’s great minds. Go watch Super 30 this week.
