The intriguing story will be unfurling one more time. Actor Nikhil Siddhartha is ecstatic about his 2014 suspense thriller Kartikeya, directed by Chandoo Mondeti, getting a sequel.
Karthikeya was about a mysterious legend of a Subramanya Swamy temple, in a village called Subramanyapuram. Nikhil played a medical student who unravels the secrets of a shut temple for reasons unknown.
Nikhil’s co star in the movie, Swathi, is elated as well. She said, “It is a comeback of sorts for not only me, but for the whole cast of the original movie. Although there is a new addition of an actress in the sequel, we all repeat our roles in the second instalment. We will finalise the name shortly and go to shoot in late May or the first week of June (sic.)”
Karthikeya 2 is expected to go for an extensive outdoor shoot as well. Nikhil quipped,
“The sequel will be bigger and better. We are going to do an exclusive outdoor shoot in locales of Uttarakhand, Himachal and parts of the movie would be shot in the Kumbh Mela backdrop. A release in Hindi and Malayalam too, is on the cards (sic.)”
