Baahubali Inspires Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame

Baahubali, a project which elevated the Indian film industry to a global level, is now inspiring many Hollywood movies. Though the last part of the Baahubali series came out in 2017, its fever refuses to die out and its fan base continues to grow bigger and better. While the characters Baahubali and Bhallaladeva got etched into the minds of many, Devasena, the warrior queen, is an inspiration to many all over the globe. The influence of Baahubali grew to such an extent, now, Marvel Studios is marveled by it.

Avengers: Endgame is now catching up to the Indian crowd and this time, the antagonist, Thanos, will have a face off against Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Black Widow, Ant Man, Hawk Eye, Captain Marvel, Nebula, Rocket and War Machine. Though this is not the first time they are bringing in their forces to a fight, this time happens to be special and a treat for all those who love Marvel and admire Baahubali. Joe Russo, the director of this fantastic movie, stated, a sequence in Avengers: Endgame  was inspired by Baahubali.

Though he did not mention which sequence he chose to adopt or from which part he drew inspiration, speculations by Marvel fans are in full force all over social media. Some say, the war sequence might be replicated, while a few others suggest, a romantic angle between Black Widow and the Hulk could be a replica of the relationship shared by Devasena and Baahubali.

Some went further, and predicted that there might be a betrayal among the ensemble who are fighting against Thanos just like Katappa and Baahubali while others loved to believe, that a water bottle will emerge from the ebbing waters of a river just like Sivagami and the baby. With such innumerable speculations and ideas taking the social media platforms by storm, it would be interesting to watch Avengers: Endgame, which releases this April.

Personally, I am curious to find out which episode Joe Russo picked to depict in Avengers: Endgame. Sources also state, an Indian actor is also being considered for a role in an upcoming Marvel movie. However, no further details were revealed on this front.
