“Thank You Brother” Telugu Movie Review:
Thank You Brother is a story about two strangers who get stuck in an elevator. One of them being a pregnant lady, Priya (Anasuya Bharadwaj) and a rich youngster, Abhi ( Ashwin J. Viraj.) Abhi being a rich spoiled brat cares less about women, ethics and life whereas Priya being a pregnant woman who lost her husband recently leads a sorrowful life. The two striking personalities end up stuck in an elevator for hours together. The real chaos begins, when Priya’s water breaks. Will Priya survive the labor ? Will Abhi offer any help? Forms the rest of the plot.
Anasuya Bharadwaj as Priya, a pregnant woman who recently lost her husband delivers an outstanding performance. No wonder she was chosen for the role as she aptly fits the character. It is forthright to say, Anasuya’s acting persona is levelling up with every new movie. Her spot on performance as a pregnant woman in labor pain and the emotional journey after losing her husband strikes the right chord among the audience. Ashwin J. Viraj as a rich spoiled brat who seeks fun in everything and lacks good ethics, delivered an appealing performance. His transformation of the character from a careless attitude to helping out a pregnant woman in the elevator delivers the message right.
Anasuya’s spot on performance and Ashwin’s role are the highlights of the film. Apart from their acting, cinematography by Suresh Ragutu is remarkable as the story gets engaging with each passing frame. Ramesh Raparthi narrates the story well. The flashbacks of Priya and Ashwin’s that come in between the elevator scenes make the screenplay engaging.
Thank You Brother is a suspense drama about two strikingly different personalities. How their lifestyles and beliefs change after the elevator incident makes an engaging plot. With an honest and decent attempt from the cast, Thank You Brother makes an interesting and suspenseful evening watch for the weekend. Do watch Thank You Brother on Aha if a suspense drama filled with realistic emotions is your cup of tea.
