Power Play Telugu Movie Review

After receiving a good response from the audience with Orey Bujjiga, Raj Tarun and Director Vijay Kumar Konda, are collaborating again for a second time on the thriller film, Power Play.  The movie finally released in theaters today amidst heavy expectations and Raj Tarun would be looking to score a hit with Power Play.

Vijay (Raj Tarun) is a recent engineering graduate with a happy go lucky attitude who is in love with a girl.  The girl’s father does not approve of the love between Vijay and the girl, since Vijay is jobless.  However, Vijay’s father sees the plight of his son and opts for voluntary retirement following which Vijay gets his father’s job.  Things then slowly fall in place as the couple have no more hurdles.  In order to celebrate their good fortune, the couple go to a club and in a strange twist of fate, Vijay loses his job, his girlfriend and finds himself at loggerheads with the most powerful family in the state.  How Vijay tries to connect the pieces of the puzzle and try to find out what happened on the night he went to the party forms for the rest of the story.

Raj Tarun who has a reputation for playing breezy, romantic and comedy roles steps up his game in Power Play.  Raj Tarun’s performance looks effortless and playing the role of a man trying to reclaim his life comes naturally to him.  Veteran actor Kota Srinivasa Rao, who is no stranger to playing the role of a crooked minister, essayed a flawless performance as a cunning Chief Minister in Power Play.  Vijay Kumar Konda, who is usually known for his romantic entertainers, does a commendable job in his first thriller movie by bringing a cleverly crafted plot to the screen.  

Power Play is a racy entertainer and with its clever twists and turns, it will surely  be a bang for your buck.   As the moviegoers are spoiled for choice with a slew of movies releasing for the weekend, Power Play is the perfect choice for a person looking for a thrilling ride.
