VV Vinayak

VV Vinayak (born as Ganduru Veera Venkata Vinayak on 9th October 1974) is an Indian film director and screenwriter known for his works exclusively in Telugu Cinema. Vinayak’s father owns theaters in his hometown and being a movie buff since childhood, he started pursuing the career in film industry. After working as assistant director for a while, he got his first break with NTR-starrer Aadi, a faction-based revenge drama which turned out to be a sensational hit and emboldened his and NTR’s place forever in the industry and winning him the Nandi Award for Best Director. Vinayak is well-known for movies power-packed action movies with the good dose of comedy. His most popular films include Aadi, Akhil, Tagore, Krishna, and Lakshmi. Vinayak’s Krishna with Ravi Teja has won him the Santosham Award for Best Commercial Director.
