Venu Thottempudi

Venu Thottempudi (born on 4th June 1976) is an Indian Actor primarily working in Telugu Cinema. Venu has appeared in a small role in Dr. Rajasekhar’s Gang Master which is a remake to Bollywood movie Sir. After a gap, a film under ace director Bharatiraja was started but, was shelved due to unknown reasons. He along his friend Shyam Prasad Reddy formed a production company “SP Entertainments” and Venu was introduced as the hero with Vijay Bhaskar’s Swayamvaram in 1999 which happens to be the director’s comeback movie after over 6 years, with Prardhana being the first film.

The movie got released and turned out to be super hit winning Venu the “Nandi Special Jury Award”, followed by Chirunnavutho and was flooded with offers but, the subsequent movies sank without any trace at Box Office and the hero has bounced back with Kalyana Ramudu followed by movies like Hanuman Junction, Khushi Khushiga, and Yamagola Malli Modalaindi. With the influx of young heroes, the hero is no longer in the same vein and has shifted to supporting roles. Venu’s uncle B Gopal is a renowned director in Tollywood who has delivered many blockbusters like Samarasimha Reddy, Bobbili Raja, Indra and Narasimha Naidu.
