Venkatesh Daggubati

    Venkatesh Daggubati popularly known as Victory Venkatesh is an Indian actor who predominantly features in Telugu cinema. Born to the legendary movie producer D Ramanaidu who produced over 100 films in all the Indian languages, Venkatesh made a blink and miss appearance in ANR’s Premnagar as a child actor and made his cinematic debut as a hero with Kaliyuga Pandavulu.

    Discipline, consistency, experience and a willingness to embrace all kinds of roles without too much thought has been his forte which led to many superhits in his career and fetched him the title “Victory”. In a career spanning 30 years, Venkatesh has donned a variety of roles and he brought back the multistarrer trend in Telugu which was diminished in the 1980s.

    Venkatesh is one of the four leading superstars of his generation that include Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna and Balakrishna being the other three. Some of Venkatesh’s most popular movies include Bobbili Raja, Sundarakanda, Chanti, Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, Drushyam, Dharmachakram and Brahmaputrudu.

    The veteran hero has received seven state Nandi Awards, and five Filmfare Awards for best acting.

    Along with his brother Daggubati Suresh Babu, Venkatesh is the co-owner of Suresh Productions, one of the largest film production companies in India. Venkatesh has starred in several of his films under this production.
