Sundaram Master (Mugur Sundar) is an Indian choreographer in the South Cinema who has directed a record number of over 10,000 dance sequences for various South Indian films. A star choreographer of his times, Sundaram master has directed some of the best dance movements for superstars like MGR, NTR, ANR, Chiranjeevi and Nagarjuna. His steps for “Subhaleka Raasukunna” and “Abba Nee Thiyyani Debba” for Chiranjeevi are still popular among the current generation.
His sons Prabhudeva, Raju Sundaram and Nagendra Prasad are famous choreographers in the Indian cinema. His second son Prabhu Deva is called as “Indian Michael Jackson” for his electrifying dance movements, who later turned actor and currently, he is one of the leading directors in Hindi.
Sundaram master as he is fondly called was one of the judges for Dance reality show “Aata” series in Zee Telugu. He has directed 1 Kannada movie “Manasella Neene”, a remake to Telugu movie “Manasantha Nuvve” which had his youngest son Nagendra Prasad in the lead role. Sundaram master has also featured as an actor in movies “Shankardada Zindabad”, “Mask” and “Kotha Janta”.
