Sumalatha

Sumalatha is a veteran Indian actress who featured in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi and Kannada films. Sumalatha began her acting career at the age of 15 with Tamil movie Thisai Maariya Paravaigal for which she got the Best New Face Award. Later, she forayed into Telugu with Samajaniki Saval (1979). A voracious reader and polyglot Sumalatha is well-versed in 5 Indian languages.

Sumalatha has won the Nandi Award for Shruthi Layalu directed by K Vishwanath. After a successful stint in movies, the beautiful actress is married to her co-star Kannada Rebel star Ambarish.
