Suddala Ashok Teja

    Suddala Ashok Teja is a National award-winning lyricist for the best lyrics for “Nenu Saitham” song from “Tagore” movie. Ashok Teja worked as a Teacher before he turned a lyricist.

    Suddala Ashok Teja was an ardent fan of literature and started writing poems and songs ever since his childhood. He carried his passion to the profession with the help of his nephew Uttej, a famous actor and writer in Telugu movies.

    Ashok Teja made his debut in Tollywood with “Ninne Pelladatha” and became popular with “Osey Ramulamma” in which he penned 6 songs for the movie. The year 2003 turned out as the turning point in his career, as the film “Tagore” fetched him the all prestigious National Award for the song “Nenu Saitham”. Suddala Ashok Teja is the third Telugu lyricist to win a National Award after Sri Sri for “Telugu Veera Levara” from “Alluri Seetharamaraju” and Veturi for “Raalipoye Puvva” from “Mathrudevobhava”.

    Some of Ashok Teja’s popular songs are “Bangaru Kalla Buchemma” from “Murari”, “Oo Mara Manishi” from “Robo”, “Regumullole” from “Chandamama” and “Hylessa” from “Sri Ramadasu”.
