SS Rajamouli

    SS Rajamouli (born as Koduri Srisaila Sri Rajamouli on 10th October 1973) at Raichur, India is an Indian filmmaker whose works are exclusively known in Telugu Cinema. His father K Vijayendra Prasad is a famous story writer and his elder brother MM Keeravani is a popular music director in Telugu Film Industry.

    Hailing from the film background and highly influenced by larger than life characters, Rajamouli started his career as an assistant director to Veteran director K Raghavendra Rao for daily serial Shantinivasam which was aired on ETV. During his stint as an assistant director, Rajamouli has gained experience in every craft of film making and thus he made his debut as the director with Student No. 1 with NTR, under the guidance his mentor K Raghavendra Rao.

    The movie turned out to be a sensational hit. His next venture Simhadri again with NTR was a humongous hit and his dream run is still continuing. He holds unique record of 10 back to back super hits in his 14-year career. Rajamouli hasn’t tasted any failure yet and all his films have turned out to be landmark films in the respective hero’s career. He has 2 industry hits in the form of Magadheera and Baahubali-The Beginning. Rajamouli’s latest movie Baahubali-The Beginning turned out to be the biggest hit in Indian Cinema, attaining him the International status.
