Srinivas Reddy

Srinivas Reddy is an Indian film director who primarily works in Telugu Cinema. An avid movie buff since his early teens, Srinivas Reddy had quit his graduation mid-way due to unavoidable circumstances and moved to Chennai to find job in the industry. He joined as an assistant director to Kananda movie director Vijaya Reddy in 1984.

His association with producer M Shyam Prasad Reddy helped him alot and assisted directors Kodi Ramakrishna for “Ahuti” movie and later worked with many directors like G Ram Mohan Rao, Y Nageshwara Rao and Siva Nageswara Rao.

After gaining enough experience as an assitant director, Srinivas Reddy turned director with “Ashadam Pellikoduku” in 1997 with Ali as the Hero followed by few movies like “14 Necklace Road”, but it was “Adirandayya Chandram” with Sivaji that brought him the due recognition. All his movies have been good entertainers which caught the attention of Nagarjuna and was offered “Dhamarukam”, a socio-fantasy movie with high on visual effects. The movie was a decent runner at BO.

Srinivas Reddy’s latest movie is “Mama Manchu Alludu Kanchu” with Allari Naresh and Mohan Babu in the lead roles.
