Sreekanth Addala is a famous Director well-known for his works in Telugu Cinema. Hailing from coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh, his films, and the characters reflect the lives of people residing in the coastal area. Despite being a holder of a Master’s Degree, it’s the fetish towards movies that brought him to the industry. Started his journey with an assistant for Tagore movie and after worked as assistant director for some time, but it was his association with producer Dil Raju gave him the major breakthrough. He worked as an assistant director for Arya and Bommariillu movies.
Dil Raju was quite impressed by his talent, as he has created his own mark among the bevy of directors and offered him chance to direct Kotha Bangaru Lokam which was the biggest hit of 2008 which won many accolades and Awards. Post the success of the film, he took a break for a multi-starrer Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, a clean family drama which takes you back to an evocative era of joint families. It’s the first multi-starrer nearly after 25 years in Telugu Cinema. This movie too was well-received and was a box-office hit. His third venture is Mukunda which turned out to be a moderate hit. Srikanth is currently busy shooting for Mahesh Babu’s Brahmotsavam which is slated for 2016 release.
