Shobana

Shobana (born as Shobana Chandrakumar Pillai) is an Indian actress and professional dancer. She has acted in more than 200 films in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. She was the lead actress in the South during the 80s and 90s. She won the National Award twice for her portrayal in movies “Manichitrathazhu” (1993) and “Mitr, My Friend” (2003).

Shobana made her debut into films as heroine with Nagarjuna’s debut movie “Vikram” in Telugu. She, later on, went to appear in many commercial movies like “Apri 1 Vidudala”, “Muvva Gopaludu”, “Nari Nari Naduma Murari”, “Rowdy Alludu” and “Rendilla Poojari”. Popular actress Sukumari is Shobana’s paternal aunt and the actor Vineeth is her cousin.
