Rana (RamaNaidu) Daggubati

Rana Daggubati (born 14th December 1984) is an Indian Actor who mostly appear in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi Cinema. Rana is the grandson of Veteran producer Dr. D Ramanaidu and son of Suresh Babu. Rana’s uncle Venkatesh is a popular hero in Tollywood. Rana was an Entrepreneur and Visual Effects Co-ordinator before turning an actor. He has won the State Nandi Award under Special Effects Category for Sainikudu movie.

The lanky youngster has made his Telugu debut with Sekhar Kammula’s critically acclaimed Leader in which he plays the role of Chief Minster who is on a mission to bring in change by eliminating the corruption from the root level. He has made Bollywood debut with Dum Maro Dum and later went on to act in few films like Baby and Department.

Despite being a hero and hailing from a strong film background, he wasn’t hesitant to grab the role of an antagonist for SS Rajamouli’s epic drama Baahubali, the titular role played by Prabhas. The movie has taken box-office by storm by emerging as one of the biggest hits of Indian Cinema and Rana’s role of “Bhallala Deva” has won him wider applause across all the Indian languages. Rana’s popular movies include Baahubali, Rudhramadevi, Leader, Naa Istham and Nenu Naa Rakshashi.
