Ram Charan Tej

Ram Charan Tej is an Indian actor known for his works in Telugu Cinema. He was born to yesteryear’s top hero Chiranjeevi and Surekha. His maternal grandfather was a popular comedian. His uncles Nagendra Babu and Pawan Kalyan are popular actors in Tollywood. His cousins Varun Tej, Sai Dharam Tej, Allu Arjun and Allu Sirish are also popular heroes. Ram Charan made his debut with Chirutha in 2007 and his second film Magadheera (2009) has obliterated all the box-office records in Tollywood and has emerged as an industry hit at that time gaining him the star status. Ram Charan is married to Upasana Kamineni, the granddaughter of Pratap C Reddy, the Executive Chairman of Apollo Hospitals in 2012. Ram Charan made his Bollywood debut with Zanjeer, a remake of 1973 Amitabh Bachan’s blockbuster by the same name, but the film sank without a trace. He holds 2 Nandi Awards, 2 Filmfare South Awards, 2 CineMAA Awards and 1 Santosham Best Actor Award. Apart from being an actor, he owns polo team by name “Ram Charan Hyderabad Riding Club”, “Turbo Megha Airways” and he is one the board members of MAA TV.
