Raghu Babu

Raghu Babu is a popular comedian, the villain who works predominantly in Telugu Cinema. He is the eldest son of veteran actor Giribabu. Despite hailing from a film background, he is a late bloomer in the Film Industry as his father Giribabu is against recommending him and believed that he should make a mark of his own.

Raghu Babu made his acting debut on the insistence of director (Late) Satyareddy with Dongalunnaru Jagratha in 1991. The film flunked at the BO though acted in a couple of films, none of them brought him any recognition. He later shifted to TV and had a successful stint in TV shows. He made re-entry into films with Krishnavamshi’s Murari. Though his role was widely appreciated, offers didn’t plunge immediately. It was VV Vinayak’s Bunny that brought him the all needed name and fame. The stupendous hit of the film made him one of the leading comedians in Telugu Cinema. His most popular films include Kalyana Ramudu, Vedam, Yagnam, Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum and Vikramarkudu.
