MM Keeravani

MM Keeravani is a popular music director and singer on Indian Cinema who predominantly appears in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Hindi Cinema. Keeravani began his career as an assistant to music director Chakravarthy for few years, he narrowly missed out the chance to compose music for Ram Gopal Varma’s “Shiva”, as Nagarjuna had felt it would be too risky to give a chance to the new composer and has chosen Ilayaraja over him.

Following the next year, Keeravani got first to break as solo music director with “Manasu Mamatha”. But, it was Ram Gopal Varma’s “Kshana Kshanam” that brought him into the limelight and with Chiranjeevi’s Gharana Mogudu, he epitomized the Telugu Cinema music during the 90s and forayed into Hindi films with Criminal and became popular in Bollywood as well.

The ace music director has won the National Award for Best Music Director for Annamayya movie. Keeravani’s cousin SS Rajamouli is the most famous movie director in Tollywood and his cousins MM Srilekha, Kalyan Koduri are his cousins. The most popular films of Keeravani are Baabhubali, Rakshana, Varasudu, Kshana Kshanam, Gharana Mogudu, Matrudevobhava, Allari Alludu, Major Chandrakantha and Pelli Sandadi. In his illustrious career, he has won 4 Film fare Awards, 8 Nandi and 1 Tamilnadu State Film Award and 1 National Award.
