Milind Soman, the dashing hunk is the first Super model from India who has left many female fans swooning with his impeccable macho looks. India’s first super model Milind Soman is a man who graduated from rejection to recognition. Milind started his modelling career with “Thakersay Fabrics” in 1989, a time when Indian fashion was at a nascent stage.
His thin and dark looks which are quite different from the stereotypes attracted the designers and started promoting him, making Milind Soman, India’s first-ever Super model. Soman featured in Alisha Chinai’s “Made in India”, India’s first pop album in 1995 and became the heartthrob of the glamour world. He started film career with “16 December” and featured in movies like “Pachaikili Muthucharam”, “Paiyaa”, “Agnivarsha”, “Satyameva Jayathe” and “Aawara”.
Apart from being a model and an actor, Milind is a great sportsman who held Indian National Swimming Championship title for four years. In India, he has been a Limca record holder for running 1,500 km in 30 days time. Milind Soman produced and acted in the lead role in the film “Rules: Pyaar Ka Superhit Formula” and produced a Television serial called “Ghost Bana Dost”.
