Meher Ramesh

    Meher Ramesh is the Indian film director who predominantly works in Telugu and Kannada Cinema. Meher Ramesh is one of the few lucky directors to have managed to grab the chance to direct star heroes in the initial stages of the career. Post his Engineering, Ramesh moved to Botswana on a job. After working there for few years, he shifted to Vijayawada and started the business of manufacturing the Snooker Tables, the business was a huge success and he was well-off but, felt fate has stored something else for him.

    Being a movie buff since his early childhood, he relocated to Hyderabad with a strong intention of becoming a director, Ramesh got associated with the director Puri Jagannadh and assisted him in few films. After being impressed by his work, Puri Jagannadh offered him chance to direct the Kannada version of his Telugu flick Andhrawala and the movie was a blockbuster hit. With a great success in Kannada, the director got an offer in Telugu to direct Ravi Teja, but the film got stalled. Sooner, that later, ace producer Ashwini Dutt offered him to direct Kantri with NTR in the lead. The movie turned out to be an average grosser, but his next film Billa with Prabhas garnered positive reviews. Apart from directing, Meher Ramesh appeared on screen in Mahesh Babu’s Bobby. Meher Ramesh’s famous movies include Kantri, Shakti, Billa and Shadow.
