Maruthi is an Indian director, a producer working in Telugu cinema. He is well-known for low-budget movies and turning them into super hits. After completing his graduation, Maruthi moved to Hyderabad and to learn computer animation at DQ Entertainment International.

Maruthi started the career as a co-producer for movies “Premisthe” and “A Film by Aravind” and later ventured into distribution.

Being attracted by Ram Gopal Varma’s idea of shooting a film with the 5D camera, Maruthi started working on a script and ventured into direction with “Ee Rojullo”. The movie gained positive response upon it’s release and turned out to be the biggest hits of the year. The movie was made under a budget of 50 lakhs and collected a whopping Rs 10 crores at the box-office.

Maruthi grew by stature from film to film and he is currently directing Venkatesh in an untitled project. Maruthi’s famous movies include “Bus Stop”, “Premakatha Chitram” and “Kotha Janta”.
