Kamalinee Mukherjee

Kamalinee Mukherjee is an Indian Actress who predominantly works in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi Cinema. Kamalinee was interested in theater arts since childhood and has performed in several stage shows. She was a voracious reader and a good poet. One among her poems Thoughts, Confusion, and Solitude which were published in www.poetry.com were selected for an International Poetry Contest and was invited to Washington, D.C. for a seminar presided by the spiritual leader Dalai Lama.

Besides, being a poet, Kamalinee is a trained dancer in Bharatanatyam. Actress, Revathi spotted her in one of the stage shows and has offered the role in her directorial venture Phir Milenge, a message-oriented movie in the backdrop of AIDS, though was reluctant initially, she grabbed the offer on her parent’s advice. Her performance was well appreciated which led her to foray into Telugu films with widely-acclaimed Anand in which she plays the confident, liberal modern day woman, followed by yet another acclaimed movie the Godavari in which she plays the happy go lucky individualistic character. The most noted films of Kamalinee Mukherjee are Anand, Godavari, Govindudu Andarivadele and Shirdi Sai.
