Jayasudha (Sujatha)

Jayasudha is an Indian actress who predominantly worked in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada Cinema. She was the former MLA for Congress Party in Secunderabad Constituency.

Jayasudha aka Sujatha (her original name) was always attracted towards the colorful life of Cinema, she fancied her chances of becoming an actress ever since she was a child.

As her aunt, Vijaya Nirmala was a leading actress, visiting the shooting locations has become a hobby for her without her father’s knowledge as he was against it. At the age of 12, she got the chance to appear on-screen in “Pandanti Kapuram” as the daughter to actress Jamuna, but Jayasudha’s father was against her decision. However, he accepted on the insistence of Vijaya Nirmala.

Two years later, Jayasudha made her Tamil debut with “Apoorva Raagangal”, the biggest blockbuster of that year which had the ensemble star cast of Rajnikanth and Kamal Hasan. After appearing in few Tamil films, Jayasudha made her debut as heroine in Telugu with “Lakshmana Rekha”, which was a colossal dud. In her next movie “Jyothi”, a remake to Bollywood’s “Mili” Jayasudha’s performance was widely appreciated and lavished many praises and proved that she is here to stay for long. Jayasudha became the busiest actress in no time and offers flooded to get paired opposite to the star heroes.

Jayasudha got married to Nithin Kapoor and the couple had two sons, their younger son Shreyan Kapoor made debut as hero with “Basti”.

For her natural acting ability Jayasudha has been bestowed with the title as “Sahaja Nati”. Few of Jayasudha’s most memorable films include “Adaviramudu”, “Premabhishekam”, “Shivaranjani”, “Pandanti Kapuram”, “Amaradeepam”, “Soggadu”, “Kalikalam”, “Bommarillu”, “Parugu” and “Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu”.
