Jaya Prakash Reddy who is fondly called as JP has been the trendsetter for factionist villain. JP was a theater artist during his college days but the cinema was never his intention. After completing his formal education, Jaya Prakash completed BEd. and got a job as Maths Teacher and later got promoted as DEO (District Educational Officer).
The veteran actor made his debut as an actor with “Brahmaputrudu” and went on to appear in many films in minor roles and never took acting as a profession as he was busy with his job. But, the fate has something stored in for us. JP’s role as the most dreaded factionist in “Preminchukundam Raa” brought him fame and name and established JP as the leading villain.
His fame rose to newer heights with the role of an archetypal villain in “Samarasimha Reddy”. To break the jinx of being monotonous, JP soon shifted to comedy-villain roles and he is the busiest actors in Tollywood today. He has won Nandi Award for Best Villain for the movie “Jayam Manade Raa”.
