Jai is an Indian actor best known for his works in Tamil Cinema. He is the nephew of yesteryear’s popular music director Deva. Born to a family of musicians, love for music has imbibed in him since an early age.
He has completed 5th grade in Keyboard from the Trinity College London. Jai made his debut as a supporting actor in Vijay’s Bhagavathi, he was chosen for the role for his striking resemblances with the actor Vijay in which Jai played Vijay’s younger brother. However, Jai kept rejecting offers that didn’t excite him and continued to assist his uncles in the music department before turning as a lead hero with Venkat Prabhu’s Chennai600028, which is considered as a cult-classic followed by Subramaniapuram in which he played the unemployed youth of the 1980s. Within a short span, Jai has become the most bankable actor in Kollywood. His movie Raja Rani remains to be the biggest commercial hit in Jai’s career.
