Gopichand (born as Gopichand Tottempudi on 12th June 1979) is the son of veteran producer-director T Krishna who has delivered many superhits like Neti Bharatam, Repati Pourulu, and Prathighatana. Gopichand had lost his father when he was just 8 years old, his family is taken care by his mother and he completed Degree in Engineering in Russia.

He had elder brother Premchand who was working as an associate director to Muthyala Subbiah and was about to mark his debut as the director, but in an unfortunate incident, he was killed in Car Accident. Gopichand flew back to India to pursue the career in films after his brother’s demise and marked his debut as hero with Tholi Valapu, the film’s debacle has handicapped the hero chances, which left him in a deep thought and to opt for a negative role in Teja’s Jayam. His stellar performance in the movie has won him critical acclaim. The dream run followed with Nijam and Varsham. Banking on the success of these movies, Gopichand made his comeback as the hero with Yagnam and tasted first box-office success as hero followed by Ranam, Lakshyam, Shouryam, Saahasam, Loukyam and Soukyam.
