Genelia D’Souza

Genelia D’Souza (born on 5th August 1987) is an Indian Actress who primarily works in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi Cinema. After grabbing wide attention with her TV commercial “Parker Pen” along with Amitabh Bachan, she was offered the lead role in Tujhe Meri Kasam (2003) along with another debutante and later her husband Ritesh Deshmukh.

The movie was a remake to Telugu super hit Nuvve Kavali. In the same year, she made her Tamil debut with Boys alongside Sidharth directed by Shankar. These movies cemented her place in the film industry and it was Dil Raju’s Bommarillu, her second association with Sidharth that won her the Film fare Award for her performance in 2006. After a successful stint in movies, she is married to her long-time boyfriend and co-star Ritesh Deshmukh and has taken a brief gap from movies. Genelia’s famous endorsements include Fanta, Virgin Mobile India, Fair and Lovely, Fast Track, LG Mobiles, Garnier Light, Margo, and Perk. Her famous are Bommarillu, Sye, Ready, and Dhee.
