Chinmayi Sripada

    Chinmayi Sripada is an Indian female playback singer who mostly sings in South Indian films. Chinmayi learnt the music at an early age from her grandfather Carnatic music great Dr Sripada Pinakapani. Chinmayi has won the gold medal from All India Radio for Ghazals in 2000 and the Silver for Hindustani Classical Music in 2002. Singer Srinivas referred her to the music director AR Rahman after her performance in Saptasawarangal programme which was aired on Sun TV. Chinmayi’s singing career in films began with “Oru Dheivam Thanta Poove” for the film Kannathil Muthamittal that got dubbed into Telugu as Amrutha. Apart from singing, Chinmayi dubbed her voice to the popular actress like Samantha, Neetu Chandra, Kangana Ranaut, Bhumika Chawla, Trisha, Karthika Nair, Taapsee and Sameera Reddy.
