Chandra Mohan (Chandrasekhara Rao)

Chandra Mohan (born as Mallampalli Chandrasekhara Rao) is an Indian film actor better known for his works in Telugu and Tamil Cinema. He is a household name in both the industries and has been the mainstay sine the past 4 decades.

An Agriculture graduate, Chandra Mohan has to chuck away the Government job to pursue the career in films. Chandra Mohan made his debut with BN Reddy’s super hit movie “Rangula Ratnam” in 1966 alongside other debutantes Vanisri and Rekha, who later turned a leading Bollywood actress. He was often termed as the “lucky mascot” for the new heroines and was believed whoever paired opposite to him during initial days of their career, would be in the top position soon.

From a romantic hero to a doting father, character roles to comedy roles, Chandra Mohan has done it all with great ease. The talented actor has won 6 Nandi and 2 Filmfare Awards for his portrayal of versatile roles in his 40-year long career.
