Bappi Lahiri

Bappi Lahiri aka Alokesh Lahiri is born in 1952 in Kolkata to the family of musicians. Her father and mother both being well-versed singers in Bengali, love for music has come naturally to him.

Bappi Lahiri made his debut as composer for films with Bengali film Daadu (1972), later forayed into the biggest Indian film industry, Bollywood with Nanha Shikari (1973) followed by Zakhmi in which he composed the music and sung songs and this film has established the era of “Bappi Lahiri” which made entire nation dance to his tunes, thus making Bappi Lahrii the most famous music director of 70s, 80s and 90s in Bollywood.

Bappi Lahiri is the first one to “Disco” to the Indian cinema.

Apart from Hindi movies, Bappi Larhiri has worked in Telugu as well and has given many super hit songs and his list of films include Gang Leader, Rowdy Alludu, Rowdy Inspector and Simhasanam. Bappi Lahiri is equally famous for his style, the kind of wardrobes, sunglasses he wears and top of it, the amount of Gold he wears makes him distinctive.
