Arvind Swamy

Arvind Swamy is an Indian actor whose works are primarily known in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam Cinema. He is an accidental actor, not an actor by choice.

Arvind Swamy’s father owned a business and his mother was a classical dancer, but young Arvind Swamy always wanted to be Doctor and used to model for pocket money. During one of such events, he was spotted by the ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam and that’s how his debut in a supporting role happened with Dalapathi.

After the blockbuster hit of the movie, Mani Ratnam introduced Arvind Swamy as a solo hero with Roja which fetched him the Pan-India fame. The handsome hero conquered the unaccustomed territory of tinsel town. Arvind Swamy with his unmatchable charismatic looks and won the attention and adulation of many fans and has become the heartthrob in no time. After a successful stint in the movies, the handsome actor, who is tagged as the most handsome celebs, has taken a long hiatus to pursue his pursuit, business.

The actor made a cameo in Mani Ratnam’s Sakhi in 2000 before making his comeback after his self-imposed exile with the same director’s Kadali. The once handsome hero who made girls go gaga over him appeared as a villain in Thani Oruvan, a box-office hit. Though comeback has never been his agenda, the actor is keen to do few films if the script excites him.
