Prabhas is even now a perfect casting choice when it comes to rooted stories with emotions, action, and drama. The movie shows two sides of Eeswar- one with his mother and the other as a furious Yogi. This drastic projection of him was very apt, as the story demanded. The action scenes in the film are very intense. The climax scene is the highlight of the whole film, where Prabhas yearns to see his mother one last time. This scene has obviously moved everyone, making them teary-eyed.
Sarada Garu, as Shantamma has reminded the native and affectionate mother. Her role in this film will be remembered for a long time.
Nayanthara looks very beautiful in the film as Nandini, who falls in love with Yogi. Her scenes with Sarada Garu and Prabhas are very good.
Ramana Gogula composed the songs for this film, which are hummed by the Telugu audience even now. Songs like Orori Yogi and Nee Illu Bangaram are loved by the audience so much. Shankar Mahadevan sang Dolu Baja, which is also very good. The background score for the film was composed by Gurukiran, which made an intense impact on the action and emotional scenes.
Kota Srinivasa Rao, as Kotayya, played the main antagonist in the film. The actor is known for his evil roles in multiple films. This movie also portrayed him in such a manner. All the other supporting actors, aside from the main villain, have also played well.
The climax scene, where Shantamma dies and Yogi comes to know this through his emotions and longing to see his mother one last time, is very emotional.
Yogi is an overall emotional film that surely made a mark on the audiences’ hearts in terms of the mass avatar and mother-son relationship. Prabhas might appear in several movies, but some of his classic roles, including one in Yogi, are remembered and celebrated.
