Konaseema Thugs Movie Synopsis:
Konaseema Thugs is a Telugu remake film distributed in Telugu states by Mythri Movie Makers. The film’s origin is in Tamil with the title, Thugs. Going by trailer, Konaseema Thugs looked interesting, presenting a gang war in a raw and rustic way. Love, vengeance, and death are the key elements of Konaseema Thugs. Bobby Simha’s presence lent much weight to the film. So the film was released today amid decent expectations, despite being a non-commercial and non-star-packed one. Appreciation For Director Brinda Gopal:
It is good to see Brinda Gopal, a nationally acclaimed dance choreographer, is now working on back-to-back projects as a director. Last year, Brinda made Hey Sinamika with a set of talented actors, including Dulquer Salmaan, Kajal Aggarwal, and Aditi Rao Hydari. Hey Sinamika is a breezy rom-com film filled with strong emotions. This year, Brinda has come up with a raw and rustic film, Konaseema Thugs, set against the backdrop of gang wars, with a new bunch of talent. Telugu Filmnagar wishes Brinda Gopal much exploration as a director, besides being a successful choreographer.

Konaseema Thugs Movie Story:
Seshu (Hridhu Haroon) has been sent to Kakinada jail under unexpected circumstances, due to the evil setup of Peddi Reddy. Arogya Raj, the jailer, tortures Seshu more than anyone. Seshu meets Dora (Bobby Simha) in the jail, gets close to him, and plans to escape from the jail. How Seshu and Dora succeed in this escape from jail is the rest of the film’s narrative.
Konaseema Movie Review:
Konaseema Thugs has a strong story with a good screenplay and direction from Brinda Gopal. However, the screenplay has an extended, detailed narrative from Brinda, which can be felt as a bit of a lag for some sections of the audience. But the intermission block and the second half of proceedings with the escape plan operation are very interesting. The screenplay in the second half is racy, and the best mark for Brinda is that she hasn’t deviated much from the storyline in the quest for commercial elements. Instead, Brinda chose a realistic approach for her narrative, and that forms the soul of the film. The production values of the film are top-notch. The background score from Sam CS and the cinematography from Priyesh Gurusamy are the film’s technical highlights. The dubbing is well suited to Telugu, and the credits go to Mythri Movie Makers.
Hridhu Haroon’s performance is very natural and realistic. Despite being a beginner in his acting career, Hridhu presented innocence, emotions, and aggression decently. Hridhu’s role is set in jail and has shades of being suppressed and rising to fight, so he has a great opportunity to explore and explode as an actor.
Bobby Simha’s attitude in the film is a special treat for sure. We all know how versatile actor Bobby Simha is. He repeated his fine performance and king-size screen presence once again in Konaseema Thugs.
Anaswara Rajan, as a dumb girl, does her character appreciably well.
Why Should You Watch Konaseema Thugs?
